SHIVERING SKIN, SHARPENING GAZE
Film Criticism Workshop
17.–23. 4. / Register by: April 10
Kurja Polt Genre Film Festival once again brings together a motley crew of cults, classics & genre-bending renegades, screening and celebrating the wonderfully bizarre, daring and wild works of cinema. Some are film orphans without a pedigree, others the suppressed, banned or overlooked films by the great auteurs. Together, they cast a spell on the viewers, turning them into fervent cult followers, gathering in the darkness of the cinema hall. If you want to relish the thrills of cult films and genre flicks, and debate them in depth with fellow cult members, then look no further and sign up for the 7-day film criticism workshop organized by KINO! magazine.
Cinema screenings of historic and contemporary genre delights will be followed by in-depth discussions and writing of short essays under the guidance of mentors. Works produced will be published on the festival website and at e-kino.si, with a selection featured in printed edition of KINO! magazine.
Maximum number of participants: 10. Participation fee: €22. Participants receive a festival accreditation. Workshop mentor is film critic and recipient of Ekran magazine award Žiga Brdnik.
Registration by April 10 (or until capacities are reached) at: ostrenje.pogleda@e-kino.si.
