Workshop: Horror Comics and Film Poster Art

SATURDAY 18. 4. / 14:00 – 18:00 / Slovenian cinematheque (café)

In tune with the spirit and content of Kurja polt festival, the horror comics and film poster workshop will focus on dark, creepy, gooseflesh-inducing themes and motifs. Designer and illustrator Peter Kalinski (Cosmic/Glitch) will show us how he tackles horrific imagery and help us with our own creations. We will work with paper-and-pencil technique, but participants are also free to bring their portable computers equipped with necessary software. Free Wi-Fi will be available. The 4-hour workshop will take place at the Slovenian cinematheque from 14:00 to 18:00. Participants will also pick a free festival screening of their choice. The works created will be showcased before the closing film What We Do in the Shadows, on Sunday April 19 at 19:00 in Kinodvor.

The workshop is free of charge. Participants must register by writing to pia.nikolic@gmail.com. Registration is open until April 13 or until all spaces are filled. No prior knowledge required.
